A little bit about me…
Whilst doing my BA in Marketing and Business at university, I fall into the training field, and started working as a Store Trainer at a supermarket in the UK. With dreams of going into advertising on completion of my degree, things changed. When I finished my studies I was 8 months into my Store Trainer role and had come to realise that this is what I wanted to do – see ‘aha’ moments and connect with individuals at a human level, supporting learning and growth. Long story short, I’ve worked in many different organisations across a diverse array industries, and have been and still am blessed to be able to say that I LOVE what I do! This is not work, this is passion.
Through my experience of being in industries from public to not-for-profit to private, retail to construction, office to mining, and the most important thing I have learned and am able to say has been a key to succeeding in any role is adding value.
To add the most value, I’ve prided myself in understanding the direction of the organisations I’ve worked for to best align and develop the most effective plans, develop aligned strategies, create inspiring training events that connect.
Some of the successes I’ve had have been making budgets stretch to their absolute maximum potential when working in not-for-profit; creating and managing programs connecting individuals for personal and professional growth; delivering leadership programs investing in organisation talent pools; creating engaging legislative and procedural training; setting up organisation strategies and systems that enabled organisations to take ownership and have sustainability of their people development.
I strive to make learning value add for the business and the individual by pushing for evaluation strategies to measure return on investment; by delivering fun and challenging training; by coaching people for outcomes.
My life vision is a world where people live with purpose and happiness, and I have the joy of setting up my business with a vision that allows me to work towards that.
I truly believe that if you get the best out of the people that work for you, your business will soar.
